
Chicken Parmesan Slow Cooker
Perfect for the meals you would like the slow cooker to take over. With very little effort you can have some really hearty meals, starting with the popular Chicken Parmesan. A favorite for our family through the years and seems its been in my recipe book forever. You can use any type pasta you would like and add some garlic bread to complete your meal!

Ingredients
- 4 Boneless / Skinless Chicken Breasts
- 2 28 oz. Cans Crushed Tomatoes
- 1 Medium Yellow Onion chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Basil dried
- 1 Teaspoon Oregano dried
- 1 Teaspoon Parsley dried
- 1/2 Teaspoon crushed Red Pepper Flakes optional
- 1 Pound 1 box Penne Paste
- 1 1/2 Cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1 Cup Parmesan cheese
- Fresh Basil or Parsley chopped
Instructions
- Pour tomato sauce into slow cooker along with chopped onions and spices and mix together. Add whole chicken breasts and cover with the lid.
- Slow cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-5 hours.
- Prepare your pasta cooked and drained, set aside.
- Remove chicken breasts shred and put back in the slow cooker. Add pasta and mix everything together.
- Add the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese, cover and cook an additional 30 minutes until cheeses are melted really well.
- Serve with some fresh basil on top.
