Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 3-4 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Latte:

  • Espresso (or strongly brewed coffee)
  • Milk of choice
  • Optional garnish: Whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg.

    To Make the Gingerbread Syrup:

    • Combine the brown sugar, water, and molasses in a small saucepan over low heat.
    • Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
    • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and spices
    • Allow the syrup to cool before storing, or use it immediately in a hot latte.

    To Assemble the Latte:

    • Add your desired amount of gingerbread syrup to a mug (about 2-3 tablespoons per serving is a common ratio).
    • Pour in the espresso or strong coffee.
    • Heat and froth your milk using a milk frother or by heating it gently on the stove and whisking until foamy.
    • Pour the frothed milk over the coffee and syrup mixture.
    • Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of spices if desired.
