Margherita Grilled Cheese

In just a few minutes you'll be enjoying this real crispy, delicious and so cheesy grilled cheese sandwich! The basil, garlic and tomatoes put it over the top and hope you have lots cheese because you will defiantly need it!

Equipment

  • 1 skillet

Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 16 mozzarella cheese slices
  • 2 tomatoes sliced
  • fresh basil leaves whole and to taste
  • garlic and herb seasoning to taste
  • butter or olive oil combine both, optional

Instructions
 

  • Turn stove top on low heat and add butter, garlic and herb seasoning and the Parmesan cheese. Let melt a little bit and add one slice of bread.
  • Stack on top of bread two slices of mozzarella, basil leaves, two tomatoes slices and two more slices of mozzarella. Add the top piece of bread.
  • Over medium low heat toast each side of the sandwich until crispy and golden brown.

Notes

Add a lid over the skillet if you would like to melt the cheese a little faster.
