The Smoky Apple Harvest Margarita is a cozy fall twist on the classic cocktail, blending the earthy smokiness of mezcal with the tart sweetness of spiced apple cider and a hint of maple syrup. Rimmed with cinnamon sugar and sea salt, it's garnished with fresh apple slices and a flaming cinnamon stick for an aromatic, warming finish that evokes crisp autumn evenings.
Ingredients
- cinnamon sugar for the rim
- 2 ounces mezcal or silver tequila
- 1/2 ounce orange liquor
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- 1/8 cup maple syrup use more or less to your taste
- juice from 1/2 a lime
- apple slices and cinnamon sticks for serving
Instructions
- If desired, rim your glass in cinnamon sugar. Run honey around the rim of the glass and coat in cinnamon sugar.
- Combine the mezcal or tequila, orange liquor, apple cider, lime juice, and maple in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake to combine. Strain into the glass. Garnish with apple slices, rosemary, and cinnamon sticks. If desired light the cinnamon on fire for a smoky effect.
