Air Fryer Donut Holes
Air fryer donuts are a healthier twist on the classic treat, made by cooking dough in an air fryer instead of deep-frying in oil. They come out light, fluffy, and golden brown, perfect for a quick, guilt-free indulgence.
Equipment
- Air Fryer
- mixing bowls
Ingredients
Donut Holes:
- ½ cup Greek yogurt (120mL)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (120g)
- ½ tsp baking powder
Coating:
- half a stick unsalted butter, melted (60g)
- ⅓ cup sugar (75g)
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Place the Greek yogurt, flour and baking powder in a bowl. Mix together using your hands or a spoon until all of the ingredients are combined.
- Divide into 9 pieces and roll each into a ball. I find it easier if I grease my hands with a little oil before shaping the donut holes.
- Grease the inside of your air fryer basket with spray oil or by brushing on a little oil. Add the donut holes into the air fryer basket
- Cook on the air fryer setting at 180C/350F for 8-9 minutes until lightly browned.
- Meanwhile, add the melted butter to a small bowl.
- Add the sugar and cinnamon to a second bowl and mix together.
- When the donut holes are cooked, drop one in the butter and roll it around to coat. Transfer to the bowl with the cinnamon sugar and roll it around until coated.
- Transfer to a serving plate and repeat with the rest of the donut holes.
