
Simple Scallop Potatoes
An easy potato side dish that looks so elegant but just quick to put together.
Equipment
- 1 13 x 9 casserole dish
- 1 knife
Ingredients
- 4 pounds / 181 kilograms potatoes
- 3 cups / 747g heavy cream
- pepper to taste
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme chopped
- 1 tsp fresh parsley chopped
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350℉ / 176℃. In a large bowl, combine heavy cream, salt, pepper and thyme, if desired.
- Slice thin and arrange potatoes in a greased 13×9-in. baking dish. Pour cream mixture over top.
- Bake uncovered, until potatoes are tender and top is lightly browned, 50-60 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. If desired, sprinkle with parsley.

Notes
You may use any type of potato you like and we used Yukon Golds for this recipe. The thyme is to taste and feel free to use more or add additional herbs. Various cheeses could also be sprinkled over top and melted in.
