Oatmeal Honey Bread

Is there anything better and more fresh in the mornings than homemade bread, especially one that you made and is sweetened with honey. This is the easy no knead method and so easy you could do with very little effort and maybe not buy them from the store anymore. Hope you enjoy all the bread you make!

Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 #8 cast iron skillet any oven safe skillet

Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounces Warm Water
  • 1 ½ Teaspoons Salt
  • 1 ¼ Teaspoon Instant Yeast
  • 1 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • 3 ½ Cups Bread Flour
  • 1 Cup Oats add more later coating the dough

Instructions
 

  • To a mixing bowl add the warm water, salt, yeast, oil and honey whisk together.
  • Add flour and oats mix together and cover and set in a warm area for 1.5 hours to proof.
  • Using the end of a spoon mix around the dough to pull the air out and add a few more oats to roll the dough around in.
  • Add the dough to a greased #8 cast iron pan or any other oven safe skillet.
  • Cover and bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes and uncover for a few minutes more in the oven to darken the crust. Remove and serve.
