What a great year round savory soup that you can use turkey or chicken when your making it. Lots of vegetables and the rice makes it even more cozy thick soup. When I think you'll enjoy for years to come.
Make wild rice according the box directions and set aside.
Chop all vegetables: potato, carrots, celery and onion.
Using a large stock pot over medium heat add butter to the bottom and add the vegetables cover and simmer till they are soft.
Remove lid, add garlic, flour and cooked wild rice, broth and salt and pepper, stir. Add in half and half, rosemary, cooked turkey and continue to simmer for 10-15 minutes before serving.
